Its very hard for me to believe and accept that Sameer is no more with us. I was reading his last post today about how he took to every challenge in life and how he is taking the challenge of this disease. Any other person would have succumbed emotionally. I hope there will be more people like Sameer born to make this place a better place to live in.

Sameer:
Since I may not be able to travel to the service, I wanted you to know that the world will feel your loss deeply. But those of us who were fortunate enough to share some too-brief moments with you are richer for it, better for it, more compassionate and happier. Thank you for all that you gave to me and to so many others. Your memory will live on. It seems incredible to have to say these words, but may you rest in well-deserved peace.

Sameer,
I vividly remember the first time I met you and Robert, full of youth, and vigot, full of ideas of doing something good for those are not so fortunate, and to do it in an organized and efficient way. Those few months when we worked on microcredit projects stand out in my mind very vividly, and i feel so sad to know that you are no longer with us . what a loss to all of us. I am sure wherever your soul travels, it will always think of doing something good for others. May your soul continue to progress to higher destinies

Dear Sameer’s Family,
I very humbled and impressed by the courage you have shown with your battle with this disease. I am saddened to accept the loss of all the good this young smart man would have done. I will pray for your family.

I am so sorry to hear this. I was so sure that you are going to come out of this. I was praying for you. But I guess some time GOD needs all good people. I am a mom of a child who passed away 3 years ago due to AML.
Though no words can console all of you at a time like this, please find strength in the fact that god will be very proud of the sacrifices you made in your effort to get Sameer the best care possible.
We pray to god to give you the strength to overcome dear Sameer’s loss. Sameer is now in a world that knows no pain and only joy. May Sameer’s soul rest in peace.

I only met Sameer once but have been following his progress closely over the last year.
I do feel that Sameer was a special person who lived life to the fullest. I will miss not having a chance to know him better.
I believe that Sameer is in a place now where he can be at peace, and that provides some solace.
He will be missed but none of us will forget him — ever.

Dear Uncle, Aunty, Reena & Prashant,
It is so hard for me to believe that Sameer is gone. He was one of the most amazing people I have ever known and he will be missed beyond what any words can describe. He has always inspired people in everything he did and he will continue to do so even now. May God give you the strength to get through this. You will always be in my prayers.

I didn’t know Sameer, but I’ve been following his and Vinay’s story for the past year now through various sites. I lost a very dear friend to cancer 2 years ago, and hearing of Sameer’s passing brought back so many memories. I hold all dearly in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all.

This is just to say that the memorial service was conducted very gracefully and was full of dignity. The Bhatia family and their firends who spoke touched everyone’s heart. It was a fitting tribute of Sameer’s remarkable life and his unusual and unique gifts. It’ll be nice to put all that was said in the form of a book in memory of Sameer.
That way Sameer will continue to inspire others…
